About the authors:
Mary Meroney is a Transportation Finance industry veteran with extensive experience in both sales and portfolio management. Mary's most recent experience includes ten years in a senior management role with Apex Capital in Fort Worth, TX where she managed a team of Account Executives and served as Portfolio Manager. Prior to Apex, Mary worked for Comdata Financial Services and its' predecessor NTS Factoring Services, for a total of ten years, serving many operation roles and also filling the role of Area Sales Executive.
Tim Valdez joined the factoring industry working for Commercial Finance Group. He was approached by TAB in 1999 to start their commercial finance division and over the next few years TAB became an innovative source of working capital for transportation companies. In 2006 Tim left TAB and became the Executive Director for Transfac Capital, a factoring company that provides capital to transportation and commercial businesses. During his time at Transfac, the company grew significantly and developed a quality operation that continues today. Tim returned to TAB from 2010 - 2012 as the Chief Lending Officer, overseeing origination and operations of the factoring, ABL and equipment finance portfolios. Currently Tim is the co-founder of Pavestone Capital LLC, a recourse factoring company that provides working capital to small and middle market transportation and commercial businesses nationwide.
